1. Who we are

SDefender LTD, a private company incorporated in Israel (Company No. 516774932), Hadaliet Street 34, Netanya 4265028, Israel, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy (“SDefender”, “we”, “our”). For any privacy matter, contact us at info@sdefender.com.

2. Scope

This policy covers personal data we process when you visit www.sdefender.com, contact us, book a demo or pilot, or otherwise do business with us. It is written to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to.

An important note about our products: SDefender platforms are deployed on-premises or in the customer’s own cloud. Security telemetry, logs and events processed by a customer’s SDefender installation remain in the customer’s infrastructure. For any personal data contained in that telemetry, the customer is the data controller and SDefender acts, where applicable, as a processor under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), available on request.

3. What we collect

  • Contact and demo requests: name, work email, company, role, and anything you include in your message.
  • Business relationship data: contact details, order and billing information for customers and partners.
  • Website technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, recorded in standard server logs; and analytics cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.

We do not collect special categories of personal data through this website, and our services are directed at businesses, not at children.

4. Why we process it and on what legal basis

  • Responding to your enquiry or demo request — our legitimate interest in following up on a request you made (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Providing and administering services, billing — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and compliance with legal obligations such as tax law (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Sending product news or marketing you have asked for — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Keeping the website and our network secure — our legitimate interest in protecting our systems and services (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Website analytics — as set out in the Cookie Policy.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that support our website and business operations (hosting, analytics, email), bound by data-processing terms; the website’s third-party services are listed in the Cookie Policy;
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary;
  • Public authorities where disclosure is required by law, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

AI assistant. Our website offers an optional AI chat assistant. If you choose to use it, the questions you type are sent to our third-party AI provider, acting as a processor on our behalf, solely to generate a reply; the conversation is not used to build profiles or to train the provider's models. Please do not enter personal, confidential or sensitive information in the chat. We may store these conversations, including your IP address, for security, abuse prevention, service quality and later marketing analysis; by sending a message you agree to this use. Such logs are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted.

6. International transfers

We are based in Israel. The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for Israel, so personal data may be transferred from the EU/EEA to SDefender in Israel without additional safeguards. Where we use service providers outside Israel or the EU/EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or on EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

  • Enquiry and demo-request data: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a business relationship follows.
  • Customer and billing records: for the duration of the relationship plus the period required by tax and commercial law (typically 7 years in Israel).
  • Server logs: up to 12 months, for security purposes.
  • Marketing consents: until you withdraw consent.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR and applicable law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed;
  • have your data erased, or its processing restricted;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
  • receive data you provided to us in a portable format (data portability);
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the EU/EEA, with the authority of your member state; in Israel, with the Privacy Protection Authority.

9. Security

SDefender LTD is certified to ISO/IEC 27001 (information security management) and ISO/IEC 27701 (privacy information management). We apply role-based access control, encryption in transit, audit logging and least-privilege principles to the systems that process personal data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on this website, and the “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
